SUMMARY

I've had mixed experiences on trips to Germany in the past, but I really loved my time in Frankfurt on this trip. It is a really cool town with lots to see and lots of history.

Must see

Städel Museum - great museum with art from all different time periods; I loved the Impressionist and Modern floors

Römer - the old part of the town; basically what Frankfurt looked like before World War 2

Eiserner Steg - bridge over the Main river; it is really beautiful and enjoyable to walk along the river

The official currency is the Euro, but I had no problem paying by credit card as well.

SHOULD YOU VISIT?

Sure! I have had mixed experiences visiting Germany in the past, and I think your trip will definitely vary depending on where you visit in Germany. I would emphatically discourage you from visiting Berlin. I hated my time in Berlin and will never go back. However, I had an amazing time in Frankfurt and would definitely recommend it. Everyone was very nice and it was a great city.
