The official currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar, but I had no problem paying in USD or by credit card everywhere I went.

international transportation

I flew British Airways from Saint Lucia (UVF) to Grenada (GND). I flew LIAT from Grenada (GND) with a transfer in Bridgetown (BGI) to Dominica (DOM).

FOOD

I had great food at a local restaurant on the beach.

PLUGS / ADAPTERS

Grenada uses British type G plugs.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

None for U.S. citizens.

SAFETY

I felt safe during my time in Grenada. I would not walk alone late at night, but the beach seemed completely safe during the day.

SHOULD YOU VISIT?

Sure! While not as glamorous as some of it's Caribbean neighbors, Grand Anse Beach is stunning and there are things to do around the island. It would not be my first choice in the Caribbean, but there are plenty of resorts and things to see if you decide to stop in Grenada.
