SUMMARY

I spent the night in Moldova and what I saw of Chișinău was beautiful. I would love to go back and spend more time!

CURRENCY

The official currency is the Moldovan leu, but I had no problem paying by credit card.

Local TRANSPORTATION

Taxis are the most common form of transportation for tourists. Busses are also an option.

I flew Ukraine from Kiev (KBP) to Chișinău (KIV). I flew Air Moldova from Chișinău (KIV) to Bucharest (OTP).

I did not eat traditionally Moldovan food.

Moldova uses European plug type C.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

None for U.S. citizens up to 90 days. 

SAFETY

I felt very safe throughout my time in Moldova. Chișinău especially seemed safe.

SHOULD YOU VISIT?

Sure! It's an often overlooked country but there are some things to see. I would like to come back but I wouldn't spend more than a few days even then.
