This was my fastest visit to a country by plane so I don't have a ton of advice as I was there for under an hour.
Pamir Highway - beautiful scenery and mountain range
Rudaki Park - Dushanbe park honoring historic writer
National Museum of Tajikistan - collection of historic artifacts from Central Asia
The official currency is the Tajikistani somoni.
Taxis are the most common form of transportation for tourists.
I flew Tajik Air from Bishkek (FRU) to Dushanbe (DYU). I flew Avia Traffic Company from Dushanbe (DYU) to Bishkek (FRU).
I did not eat in Tajikistan.
PLUGS / ADAPTERS
Tajikistan uses European plug type C as well as plug type I.

I was not there long enough to judge the safety of the country, though I know that bribes tend to be commonplace at the airport and the locals are very hospitable.
SHOULD YOU VISIT?
Maybe? Only if you have time to actually explore the country and are looking to drive through the mountains. I wish I had had more time!
